Product Introduction
Grade 7 titanium (Ti-0.12Pd) is a commercially pure titanium alloy containing a small amount of palladium (0.12-0.25 wt%). This additive enhances its corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-containing media and at low temperatures, making it suitable for use in harsh chemical environments. Its mechanical properties are similar to those of grade 2 titanium, but its resistance to crevice corrosion is superior.

The manufacturing process for Grade 7 titanium sheet involves several key steps, including material preparation, melting, casting, hot and/or cold working (rolling/forging), heat treatment and surface preparation. Grade 7, also known as Ti-0.15Pd, is a titanium alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in chloride environments, and good weldability.
At first, all we need to do is titanium raw material preparation and pretreatment, including cleaning, grinding, etc., to ensure the purity and uniformity of the material. Smelting then involves melting the titanium feedstock at high temperatures to convert it into liquid titanium. In the smelting process, it is necessary to control appropriate parameters such as temperature, pressure and atmosphere to ensure the quality of titanium liquid. Then, the titanium liquid is poured into the prepared mold for casting. Molds can be special shapes or cast directly into blocks. In order to realize uniform, compact and defect-free ingot during solidification of molten titanium, it is necessary to control parameters such as mold temperature and pouring speed.
