What is the material composition of GR4 and what are its applications?

GR4 titanium plate is an industrial titanium alloy material, the core component of which is Ti-6Al-4V (titanium-6 aluminum-4 vanadium), which belongs to α+β type titanium alloy. This material has the following properties:

Mechanical properties
Tensile strength ≥ 895MPa, yield strength ≥825MPa, elongation ≥10%, both high strength and good plasticity.

Corrosion resistance
It shows excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, chloride environment and acidic media, and is suitable for chemical industry, marine engineering and other fields.

As a representative of high-purity titanium alloy, Gr4 titanium plate has a tensile strength of up to 550MPa, which is one of the most outstanding grades of pure titanium materials. With its excellent corrosion resistance, this material performs well in harsh environments such as offshore platforms, chemical equipment, and marine engineering, and can effectively resist the erosion of highly corrosive media such as chlor-alkali industry, sulfuric acid systems, and hydrofluoric acid, especially suitable for long-term exposure to seawater, chloride, and acid-alkaline media.

1.Compared with Gr1-Gr3 titanium plates, Gr4 achieves significant performance improvements:

Strength advantage: higher tensile strength (about 550MPa) can meet the requirements of high pressure and high load conditions;
Application scenarios: It is suitable for chemical equipment that requires both corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reaction towers and other core components.
