High-purity Gr2 titanium foil (corresponding to TA2 grade) is an industrially pure titanium foil with a titanium content of ≥99.5%. It is manufactured through a precision cold rolling process and features small thickness tolerances, a smooth surface, and uniform microstructure. Its density is 4.51 g/cm³, melting point is approximately 1660°C, tensile strength in the annealed state is 300–500 MPa, elongation is ≥18%, and strength can be increased to 1000–1400 MPa after heat treatment while maintaining good ductility. This material exhibits excellent corrosion resistance (especially in oxidizing environments), but its heat resistance is limited. It is widely used in chemical, seawater desalination, medical device, aerospace (e.g., wings, engine blades), and electronics industries (capacitors, shielding covers) due to its lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility.

Gr2 titanium foil is a thickness of less than or equal to 0.1mm titanium plate, strip, roll or sheet, the main component is titanium, which has high purity, good plasticity, and also it has the characteristics of the presence of impurities it may become brittle and hard. The executive standards of the Gr2 titanium foil include GB/T3622-2012 and ASTM B265, which guarantee the consistency of material quality and the performance.
