AMS 4911 is a detailed standard in the American Aviation Materials Code specifically for hot-rolled titanium Ti-6Al-4V (UNSR56400) sheets. This standard is more demanding than ASTM B265 and is specifically designed for high-performance fields such as aerospace. Its product manufacturing process, annealing process requirements and tolerance requirements have high standards. Ti-6Al-4V is the nominal chemical composition representation method of titanium alloy, which combines lightweight, high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, and is frequently used in aviation, medical, marine, handicrafts and other industries. Its density is about 4.43g/cm³, which is much lighter than steel. Tensile strength is about 900MPa, yield strength is about 830MPa, elongation is 14-20%, chemical composition includes titanium ≥89%, aluminum 6±1%, vanadium 4±1%.

1.Material properties
This material is a α-β titanium alloy with a thermal conductivity of 6.7 W/m·K (lower than aluminum with poor heat dissipation performance), showing a very high strength-to-weight ratio, making it extremely suitable for aviation applications. The material is also highly resistant to corrosion, effectively resisting acidic substances in the air.
After annealing treatment, Ti-6Al-4V forms a typical α + β duplex structure, where α phase is Al and β phase is V.
α phase: Hexagonal close-packed structure (HCP), possessing excellent toughness.
β phase: Body-centered cubic structure (BCC), which can improve processing performance and strength.
