What`s titanium Grade 2 slip on flange ?
Titanium Grade 2 slip on Flange is a part made of titanium or titanium alloy that connects pipes to tubes and connects them to the end of the pipe. Its inner diameter is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, and it can be directly put on the pipe during installation and fixed by double-sided welding. Unlike flat welded flanges, titanium plain flanges have a shorter neck and do not require beveling, resulting in lower costs and easier installation. Its core features include:
1. Sliding design: The pipe can be fine-tuned in the flange inner hole, making it easy to center the installation.
2. Double-sided welding: fillet welding needs to be carried out on the end face of the flange and the outer wall of the pipe to ensure tightness.
3. Applicable pressure range: Typically used in medium and low pressure scenarios of PN6-PN40 (approx. 150-600psi), complying with ASME B16.5 standard2.
Working principle and core advantages
Titanium Grade 2 slip on flanges effectively compensate for stresses caused by thermal, expanded, contracted, or vibrationd by allowing axial displacement of pipes. For example, in a thermal network, when the steel pipe expands under heat, the clearance of the titanium sliding flange reduces the thrust on the fixed support. Its advantages are mainly reflected in:
1.Flexible installation: suitable for space-constrained occasions without the need for precise cutting of pipes.
2.Economy: Less material loss, 30%-40% lower processing cost than neck butt weld flange (according to the data of the "Pipeline Engineering Manual").

The applications of the titanium Gr2 Slip on Flanges.
Titanium slip on flanges are widely used in petrochemical, oil and gas, power generation, bulk liquid transportation, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, textile and other industries. All our titanium flanges are manufactured in accordance with international standards. The packaging of titanium flanges should ensure that they are not damaged during transportation. When exporting, the standard export packaging is plywood case. All titanium flanges are marked with the brand, lot number, size, grade, and our trademark. We also accept custom markings on titanium flanges.

Grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 titanium alloys are all industrial pure titanium (at least 99% titanium). Each grade has a slightly different chemical composition, which can affect its mechanical properties and design capabilities. The four grades have similar corrosion resistance. Titanium alloys are lightweight and corrosion-resistant. In most environments, its corrosion resistance is higher than that of stainless steel. Of the four industrial pure titanium (CP) grades, Grade 2 titanium is the alloy of choice for most industrial applications that require good ductility and corrosion resistance.

Anti-corrosion treatment andCushioning material
When the weight of a single titanium flange > 25kg, the bottom plate of the wooden box should be made of 25mm thick plywood, and the wheel pocket should be equipped with an 18mm support plate.
The gap between the flange and the box is left 5mm on one side to fill the honeycomb cardboard to disperse the pressure.
Anti-seismic measures
The bottom of the flange should be equipped with rubber shock absorbing pads, and the four corners of the box should be protected by foam-wrapped corners to avoid collisions during transportation.
Note: Titanium flanges need to be cleaned before transportation to remove oil stains and cutting fluid residues.
